Gold FM Native Gecko Display with The New Zealand Herpetological Society
Gold FM held their annual Native Lizard Display with the New Zealand Herpetological Society on the 14th of October as part of the Go Waihi Goldfest celebrations.
There was a sprinkling of showers throughout the day this year, so the weather didn't behave as well as it has in past years.
The showers certainly didn't dampen the spirits of the people of all ages who came to the Waihi Memorial Hall on Seddon Street to have a 'close up' encounter with the different species of unique New Zealand geckos that were displayed.
A big thanks to Doug and Jane from the New Zealand Herpetological Society who travelled to Waihi for the day.
