25 Year Old Paeroa Man Critical After Stabbing

Police are appealing for information after a 25 year old Paeroa man was stabbed in Paeroa this morning.

The man and his 20 year old sister were walking through a park by the rotunda when they got into an argument with a group of people. They were followed to the corner of Railway Rd and George St where the stabbing then occured. The 25-year-old Paeroa man has been airlifted to an Auckland hospital in a critical condition after being stabbed three times by an unknown weapon.

The man's sister was also punched during the attack. The siblings made their way to a George St address where an ambulance was called and the man was airlifted to Auckland hospital at about 2.20 am in a critical condition. He was stabbed 3 times and is very lucky to have survived the attack.

The rescue helicopter picked the man up at about 2.20 am.
