It's all over for another year and what a great show the people of Waihi put on by getting busy and creative building floats for the Go Waihi Christmas Parade with Harcourts Real Estate, Waihi.
There were some great entries again this year.
Best Float went to ...Dave McQuay Contractors
Most Christmassy Float ... Salvation Army ( Nativity Scene)
Most Original ... Goldfields Railway
Craziest ... Waihi College Troupe
Just For The Heck Of It ... Waimata School
Why Not Give Another One Away? ... Willowbank Ranch
The Best Dressed Adult ... 'Lady In The Bath' - Hetherington House
Best Dressed Child ... Jaden Pooley ... Willowbank Ranch
Thanks goes to Go Waihi for doing the work that makes it happen. Harcourts Real Estate for their sponsorship. It couldn't happen without their support and Waitete Restaurant, and 2nd Cup Cafe for supplying prizes.
We'll be posting lots of great shots of the parade later today. Here's winner Dave McQuay whose gift wrapped Toyota Rav won the best float prize.
