Get Your Entry In For Art Waikino

Entries are now coming in for ART Waikino’s eleventh art exhibition at Labour Weekend. The closing date for entries is Saturday October 14 so anyone who is still thinking of entering needs to fill out the entry form and get it posted. No late entries will be accepted.

There are five categories this year; best painting sponsored by Visique O’Hagan Vision Care, craft and two photography categories which are sponsored by Barron’s Kodak Express. This year ARTWaikino will incorporate the first national exhibition of contemporary mosaic art with the theme “What makes kiwis tick?” This section is sponsored by The Tile Depot and entries are now closed for this section only. The supreme award of $500 for the overall best exhibit is sponsored by Newmont Waihi Gold.

This exhibition is well known for its quality of artwork at affordable prices.

The exhibition is held in the Victoria Hall on SH2 at Waikino from 10am to 4pm Saturday October 22 to Monday October 24. It’s a gold coin entry fee and all proceeds go to the upkeep of the community hall.
