Waihi people would have heard about the new mining proposasls in Waihi. The Waihi Ward Councillors certainly have, and they want to hear the local point of view.
There are a variety of concerns and issues surrounding the proposed expansion by Newmont Waihi Gold so the Council is inviting the general public to call in and have a chat with Waihi Ward Councillors tomorrow and Friday, and then again next Thursday and Friday, at the Hauraki District Council Service Centre on Seddon Street.
They're keen to hear opinions and discuss the issues.
What do you think? If you want to have your say in an informal atmosphere, then head to the Service Centre between 9 am and 4 pm.
