The Waihi College 1st XI Girls Soccer Team is into the finals of the Waikato Secondary Schools Competition.
They played the 4th grade in the competition, and they won.
They played in the 5 a side knock-out competition, and they won.
They've played so well that they've made it through to the final of the Waikato region knock-out competition.
They're the first ever Waihi College team to make it through to the regional finals and their proud parents and supporters are gearing up to travel to Hamilton's Galloway Park fields this Saturday to spur them on.
The games start at 10 am and the girls, whose ages range from 14 to 17 would love some extra support from Waihitians. If you're heading over to Hamilton this weekend, or you have family or friends from Waihi living in Hamilton let them know that the Waihi College Girls 1st XI Soccer Team is playing at Galloway Park, and they'd love a bit of local vocal on the sideline.
Good luck girls!
