Waihi College 1st XV Wins Sportsmanship Trophy

Congratulations must go to the Waihi College 1st XV rugby team currently in Australia competing in the Gold Coast Rugby Carnival.They've won the Kooga Sportsmanship award.
On day one of the carnival they beat Whangaparoa College 28 to 12. Day 2 it was a 39 to nil win against Te Aroha and they beat Inglewood 33 to 6 on day 3 of the competition. We're still waiting to hear if they took part in the mass haka organised to happen on a gold coast beach.
The Waihi College Girls netball team is also doing very well. They've won 11 games, drawn 1 and lost 2. With only four more games left for them to play tomorrow, they're looking good for a place in the competition.
