The Waihi Fire Service attended four incidents last week.
On Monday night they were called just up the road to the Burrowing Bullie on the corner of Rosemont Rd and Seddon Street. A guest who was taking a shower had left the door ajar and the steam set off the fire alarm.
Tuesday they went to the Bowentown Boating Club along with the Waihi Beach Fire Brigade when builders working to install a new ranch slider at the club accidentally set off the fire alarm.
On Wednesday the fire service was called out at 3.30 pm to assist the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to land at Morgan Park. The helicopter air lifted a St John Ambulance patient who needed emergency care to hospital.
And on Friday night they attended a motor vehicle accident on the Tauranga Road, just before Waimata School, when a car left the road due to excessive speed. Two people were injured and needed to be taken to hospital by ambulance.
Remember in an emergency to dial 111. And have you checked your fire alarms lately?
