Motorcyclist Killed On Tairua Main Road

Tairua's main road has been closed after a male motorcyclist was killed around 6 pm this evening after falling off his bike.
Police are at the scene and investigations are continuing.
This is the second motorcycle tragedy on the Coromandel in less than a week.
On Wednesday a 51 year old female motorcyclist was killed when she apparently crossed the centre line of the road and collided with a car. Both vehicles burst into flames and although the occupants of the car were able to remove themselves and the injured woman away from the flames, her injuries were fatal.
