Kit Wilson from Newmont Waihi Gold spoke to Brian Gentil this morning to explain where Newmont is at with their MEP proposal. He also reassured Waihi residents that some of the articles that have appeared in newspapers over recent times have contained incorrect information and clarifies the inaccuracies.

After receiving enquiries about it Brian asked about the larger than usual rig on Walmsley Road as you head out of Waihi towards Whangamata and Kit detailed why it is there, why it is larger than the rigs locals may be used to seeing and how long it will remain where it is.
