It's time to rummage through the house and garage for all those books gathering dust and donate them to the Waihi Rotary Trust. Clear a space on your bookcase and make room for some fresh reading material as the 'Rotarians' are combining with the Waihi Beach Lion's Club to bring the ever popular 'Book Fair' back to Waihi on the 2nd and 3rd of June.
The Book Fair is always eagerly anticipated and the book hunters are out early to snap up bargains as soon as the doors open on the first day.
There's always something for everyone and now and again real gems turn up.
Barbara Body has been on the organising committee for a number of years and she says they'll also accept DVDs, CDs, jigsaws and board games (with all their pieces complete) and record albums in good condition.
This year the Mobil on Seddon Street and BP Connect on Rosemont Road in Waihi have agreed to be drop off points for books. Waihi Beach Hardware on Wilson Road, Waihi Beach is also a drop off point, along with the Caltex Service Staition in Paeroa.
If you're unable to deliver books or items to any of the drop off points, you can ring Neil on 07 863 5722, and he'll arrange for someone to pick them up for you.
