Police are appealing for information after the New World Supermarket in Whangamata was burgled overnight.
The alarm went off at the supermarket at 3.42 am and police are hoping that someone travelling, or up and about at that time of the morning, may have seen or heard something that could help to apprehend the offenders.
The drawer from the ATM machine was taken and at this stage it's not known whether anything else was uplifted by the thieves.
If you hear anything or you saw anything please contact Detective Sergeant Glen Tinsley from the Waihi Police. You can contact him on 027 6753054 or 07 863 8179.
