Swell Results For Waihi Beach Surf Boat Team

Round 3 of the North Island Surf Boat Championships was held at Waihi Beach over Waitangi weekend and Waihi took out the Under 19 Men's section.
Teams from across New Zealand compete in a series of four surf boat events.
The Waihi local boys have been working hard training and coach Dan Harris was quietly confident about his team when we spoke to him recently.
Jack Kingsford, Josh Williamson, Luke Kingsford, David Grant, Carl Glyde and Dan Harris beat Titahi Bay and the Red Beach Roosters to take out the top spot and come away with a Gold Medal win.
Legendary surf club stalwart Dan Harris came third in the Master's Men's section.
We're keeping our fingers crossed for the team who'll be heading to Gisborne on the 15th of March to compete in the Nationals.
