Drill drives getting good results for Martha Project

OceanaGold is getting positive results and making good progress on the Martha Project underground exploration drill drives. 

In a recent market update of the company’s global operation, Mick Wilkes, President and CEO of OceanaGold said, “The early drill results from the Martha Project demonstrate the exciting opportunity that may exist to materially increase the Waihi mine life, which could unlock significant value for the business.”

Since commencing drilling from the first drill cuddy a total of 2,506 metres have been drilled from the 800RL drill drive since early August returning multiple significant intercepts.

Favona and Gladstone infill drilling also continue to return encouraging intercepts according to the update.

Mick Wilkes said, “The latest round of drill results further demonstrate the significant potential that exists at each of our assets and in nearby greenfield areas. The investment in exploration and drilling is creating value for investors and supports our organic growth initiatives.
