Amy Winehouse Farewelled Today

Family and close friends will gather today at an undisclosed location for the funeral of singer Amy Winehouse. She comes from a Jewish family and tradition requires funerals to take place quickly after death. An autopsy carried out to establish the cause of her death has delayed the service. No cause of death has been confirmed and police are still waiting for toxicology results.

Amy will be cremated today and according to her wishes her ashes will be mixed with her grandmothers, who died in 2006 

Her devastated family have expressed their heartfelt thanks to fans who have left messages and rallied to honour her memory outside her home. They also hinted that they almost expected her lifestyle to claim her life at an early age.

Celebrities all over the world have been facebooking and tweeting their condolences and paying their respects to Amy.
