Chinese webmasters have until the 15th of September to remove songs that are deemed to be offensive by the Chinese administration.

So far 100 songs have made it to the Chinese 'Hit List' of 'Hear No Evil' songs including music by Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Owl City and Bruno Mars.

Lady Gaga is to have several songs from her "Born This Way" album 'nixed'. They are 'Born This Way', 'Judas', 'The Edge of Glory', 'Hair', 'Marry The Night', 'Americano' and 'Bloody Mary'.

Katy Perry's song 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) is off the play list because it mentions a threesome, skinny dipping and being drunk. Kylie Minogue's 'All The Lovers' and 'Get Out Of My Way' have been banned. Owl City's "Honey and the Bee' will not be allowed on Chinese Internet sites and Beyonce's 'offending' song  'Who Run The World (Girls)' gets the eraser.
Bruno Mars 'Just The Way You Are' and 'Grenade' have also been chopped.

Maybe recording artists will consider the revenue that could come from sales in China and add sanitized versions to their repertoire for sensitive Chinese ears.China must be a huge potential market.
