Grieving Bee Gee Barry Gibb, the last of the legendary 'Brother's Gibb' has created an emotional video in tribute to his late brother Robin, who passed away on May the 20th after battling liver and colon cancer at the age of 62.
The title of the video 'Bodding' was Robin's family nickname.
A Gibb family spokesperson released this statement following Robin's death. "The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery. The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time."
Robin's death echoes that of his twin Maurice who passed away due to a twisted intestine nine years ago in a Miami hospital.
The youngest Gibb Brother Andy, who had a stellar solo career which was dogged by rumours and speculation about drugs, died tragically in 1988, just after his 30th birthday when he was admitted to hospital complaining of chest pains. He died five days later as a result of an inflamed heart due to a recent infection.
The video compilation is backed by the band's song 'Heart Like Mine' and ends with Robin giving a thumbs up.
Robin's private funeral will be held in Oxfordshire, near his home and his family are planning a memorial service for him at St Paul's Cathedral in London where music stars from around the globe are expected to attend.
