Fingers crossed for Hot Cross Bun Competition

It was our very great pleasure to taste test Waihi Beach Bakery Hot Cross Buns before they were sent off to Wellington to compete in the Great Hot Cross Bun Competition run by the Bakery Industry Association of New Zealand.
Murray, Lena and the team have been perfecting the recipe and we can vouch for the taste. We couldn’t decide whether we liked them best cut in half with a good spread of butter or toasted lightly under the grill and spread with melting butter so we tried them both ways. Mmm mmm!
