Berys Daly from the Waihi Art Centre and Museum came into Gold FM’s on-air studio on Thursday morning with an update on their Nambassa Revisited – 40 Years On Exhibition.
In 1979 75,000 people headed to Golden Valley on the outskirts of Waihi for the three day festival that not only featured lots of top bands and artists, but also focused on the environment, sustainability and more.
Berys talked about some of the people who had been through the exhibition, and that lots of people have been adding their photos, thoughts and memorabilia. Apart from Good Friday Waihi Art Centre and Museum in Kenny St is open every day across the school holidays from 12 noon to 3 pm.
