It was a busy week for Marcus Howie, the Thames Valley RFU Rugby Development Officer, culminating with the Thames Valley Secondary Schools Finals at Paeroa Domain on Saturday. Marcus ran through these results to kick his report off, with some very close games. Congratulations to all the teams that made the finals.

Then it was on to the Premiership and Championship games across the country with some interesting, and unexpected results.

Brian and Marcus moved on to the Black Ferns game against Australia’s Wallaroos, which they won 37 – 8. And The Championship ended with South Africa beating Argentina 24 – 18, while the All Blacks quietened their doubters with a 36 – 0 win over Australia, with Steve Hansen marking his 100th test as coach.
