Kerepehi water shutdown – 4 September

Kerepehi township and industrial area will be without water between 9 pm and 12.00 am (midnight) on Wednesday 4 September. This is to allow Hauraki District Council to connect the existing treated water reservoir to new pipe work.

It’s recommended residents in the area store some water for drinking and hygiene before the shutdown.

When the water comes back on residents might notice some hissing noises and discoloured water may spurt from the tap, due to the disturbance of the pipeline and air getting into the pipes. If this happens running an outside tap or bath tap for about 30 seconds to flush out your taps should fix the problem.

Hauraki District Council apologises for any inconvenience, however this work is important for maintaining a healthy drinking water network for their communities.
