Police have put a dampener on a crime wave in Thames with several arrests for burglary, theft and vehicle theft.

Thanks to the Thames community a group linked to over 35 alleged offences has been apprehended.

Much of the offending occurring in Thames recently has been fuelled by methamphetamine addiction according to a police report.Search warrants executed this week lead to the arrests of four people in Thames for drug offences.

A 20-year-old man has been charged with two counts of burglary and one of aggravated injury, and is set to appear in Thames District Court on 14 January 2020.
