Ross Cooper, Deputy Chair of the Thames Valley RFU started with a look at this coming weekend’s Northern Region Provincial Sevens Tournament in Whangamata with a lot of visiting teams vying to win and move on to the next competition.

Then Ross and Brian Gentil talked about the off season for top players and the need to keep up the training, especially with the Super Rugby kicking off earlier than ever before in 2020, at the end of January.

The talk then turned to the all Blacks and the changing of the guard, and how families and women are a big part of the rugby fraternity these days.

Sonny Bill Williams got a mention with his move back to league and what he still has to offer rugby, and that he puts his kids up top when it comes to achievements.

And Ross and Brian also touched on the selection process and depth of New Zealand coaches to choose from to replace Steve Hansen as the All Blacks coach, which will be announced prior to Christmas. A

Ross and Steve ended with congratulations to Thames Valley RFU Rugby Development Officer Marcus Howie and his new addition to the family on Friday, all the best to you and your family Marcus.
