There was plenty to talk about with Thames Valley Rugby Football Union Deputy Chair Ross Cooper on Friday starting with the Northern Regional Sevens Provincial Tournament in Hautapu between Hamilton and Cambridge this weekend. Thames Valley has six games against some tough teams, and need to win at least one game to go through to the next stage. Good luck.

Ross and Brian Gentil looked at the Crusaders possible name change, with an announcement today. New Zealand coach Dave Rennie is in charge of Australia and has managed to glean Scott Wisemantle away from Eddie Jones English team. They also covered the new rules for junior rugby next year with teams being able to play with 10 or more players, uncontested scrums if needed, no knock-ons and some other changes to help get kids out and playing.

How do the All Blacks decide which haka they’ll perform? Ross and Brian can fill in the gaps here too. And they also looked ahead at the Super Rugby season for 2020, with Auckland hosting the Chiefs the first game, on Friday 31 January, not far away.
