Brian Gentil caught up with Marcus Howie, the Rugby Development Officer with Thames Valley Rugby Football Union, who’s back after a break to welcome his daughter into the world, a sister for Jack; congrats to your family Marcus.

The big news was that the Heartland Sevens team won against Northland at the Northern Region National Sevens Qualifying Tournament near Cambridge and are now off to the next competition in a fortnight at Mt Maunganui playing some of the top sevens sides in the country, a fantastic result.

Marcus and Brian Gentil also talked about the All Blacks coaching position, with a decision coming out in the next two to three weeks.

Ardie Savea is going to be on the injured list for a lot of the Super Rugby season next year. He has to have surgery on his injured leg and will have a lengthy recuperation period.

And there was a bit of talk with the release of the new Crusaders logo too.
