Scott Day caught up with Brian Gentil after sending off the Argentinian Under 16 and 18 sides that have been hosted across the weekend at the local Paeroa Marae.
They played two invitational Thames Valley sides on Sunday at Waitakaruru, The Under 16 Thames Valley team won their game 20 – 17, while the Argentinian side beat the Under 18 Thames Valley side 30 – 10.
Scott and Brian then looked at the results of Round 5 of the Super Rugby.
The Chiefs and Crusaders both had byes.The Highlanders hosted the Rebels going down 28 – 22.
The Hurricanes ran in 10 tries in their win over the Sunwolves 62 – 15.
And the Blues made it two out of two in South Africa. After downing the Bulls 23 – 21 last week, they backed that win up with another this weekend 33 – 14, giving the Stormers their first loss so far this season.
Scott covered all the other games as well.Brian asked Scott about the review of rugby happening at the moment with New Zealand Rugby, who said it will be interesting to see the direction they head in after what looks like a major overhaul from junior to senior rugby.
