It was a late Friday night for Marcus Howie, the Thames Valley Rugby Football Union Rugby Development Officer, as he and the other Rugby Development Officers held a coaching course at Hauraki Plains College.
Brian Gentil was keen to get into the results of the Six Nations games played, with the Ireland Italy game postponed due to the Coronavirus. With England’s win over Wales 33 – 30 and France losing to Scotland 28 – 17, England has gone to the top of the table on points difference over France.
In Super Rugby Round 6 action the Crusaders beat the Reds 24 – 20, while the Chiefs ran rampant over homeside the Waratahs 51 – 14, which Warren Gatland would have been happy with.
The Hurricanes hosted the Blues who surprised a few with a win away 24 – 15.
Unfortunately the Bulls at home, with no wins so far this season, were too strong for the Highlanders who went down 47 – 14.
Marcus and Brian covered all the other games across the weekend as well.
