It was another busy weekend of Super Rugby with Round 7 taking place just prior to the Covid-19 Coronavirus travel restrictions kicking in which will affect the next few weeks of play it’s believed.
Marcus Howie, the Thames Valley Rugby Football Union Rugby Development Officer, caught up with Brian Gentil and ran through all the results.
The Chiefs surprised most people losing to the Hurricanes who managed to win 27 – 24 after full time with a penalty by Jordie Barrett.
The Sunwolves were no match for the inform Crusaders who visited and took home the spoils, winning 49 – 14.
The Blues continued their good form with a comfortable win over the visiting Lions 43 – 10.
And the Jaguares home game against the Highlanders was abandoned with both teams taking two points each.
Marcus and Brian covered the other games as well, and checked the table after seven rounds.
Both are looking forward to finding out the latest news on how or if the Super Rugby will continue over the next few weeks.
They are also looking forward to the Thames Valley Senior A and Senior B Rugby Competition getting underway this weekend with a full line up of games to talk about this coming Friday morning.
