Food parcel supplies stolen - Thames Valley Emergency Operations Centre chiller broken into

Demand for food parcels has been steady at the Thames Valley Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) since it was established in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.So far over 950 food parcels have been distributed across the Thames-Coromandel, Matamata-Piako and Hauraki Districts.

Disappointingly about $1,000 worth of supplies for food parcels was stolen over the weekend when a chiller was broken into.The theft has been reported to the police and extra security has been put in place to protect the chiller.
