Kaitlin Russell from Thames Valley Rugby Football Union joined Brian Gentil again on Friday morning to look at the rugby scene leading into the weekend.
Kaitlin said junior rugby had been put on hold this weekend with the Covid-19 Alert Level meaning it would be hard to control the crowd numbers so the decision was made to play safe at the moment.
The H G Leach Senior Club Competition is down to the playoffs for both the Senior A and B Men’s Competitions, and yes, at this stage they are going ahead.
In saying that Kaitlin was quick to mention that some games will be played with no spectators, so listen in to find out which games you can still get along to.
Brian and Kaitlin also touched on the Super Rugby Aotearoa. With two great games this weekend that won’t change the outcome of the series, everyone is hoping we’ll get to see one more weekend of top rugby with the Highlanders at home against the Hurricanes Saturday night, and the Auckland Blues hosting the Crusaders Sunday afternoon … if the games can go ahead.
