The Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment publishes weekly managed isolation and quarantine data.
The information shows the number of returnees who have been through the facilities, room occupancy rates in facilities and managed isolation allocation system vouchers available.
The data also includes the Ministry of Health testing data and any incident reports of key updates regarding Managed Isolation and Quarantine.
A very big number that stood out today was the total number of people through Managed Isolation & Quarantine facilities since 26 March 2020: 101,131.
Number of people currently in Managed Isolation facilities: 5,638
Number of people currently in Quarantine facilities: 144
Projected Returnees – Next 14 days: 5,541
There is no information provided regarding where the 101,131 people go after managed isolation finishes, why they are here, whether their stay is going to be permanent or temporary, whether they have jobs and whether they are buying or renting houses?
