Media Release: Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health is investigating a positive case of COVID-19 detected in Northland that is linked to a Managed Isolation facility.

The positive COVID-19 case recently completed their stay in Auckland Managed Isolation facility, The Pullman Hotel. After returning two negative tests on 2 and 10 Jan, the case met the requirements for release and returned home to the Northland region on 13 January.

This case was a committed user of the NZ COVID Tracer app which has enabled rapid tracing of approximately 30 locations where the case had been.
