Teen suffers burns - Waihi
In the evening of Wednesday, July 14, the TECT Rescue Helicopter attended to a male teenage patient who had sustained burns on a farm near the Waihi area.
The onboard crew flew the patient to Waikato Hospital for further treatment.
Three helicopters called to motor vehicle crash near Thames
On Thursday, July 15, the TECT Rescue Helicopter, Greenlea Rescue Helicopter and Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter responded to a motor vehicle accident near Thames involving a truck and several cars.
Three patients that had sustained multiple injuries required transportation to hospital.
Two were flown to Middlemore Hospital and one was flown to Waikato Hospital for further treatment.
On Friday, July 16, Westpac 2 crew were tasked to Kaiaua to assist a female patient in her 80’s suffering a medical complaint. She was flown to Middlemore Hospital in a critical condition.
This morning, Monday, July 19, the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter attended to an infant suffering severe respiratory distress in Te Aroha.
The baby was flown to Starship Hospital.
