Council Matters

Hauraki District Council is proposing to prepare a reserve management plan for all parks and reserves they have decision making responsibility for in their district.

The management plan will include parks and reserves held subject to the Reserves Act 1977 and Local Government Act 2002.

In accordance with section 41 of the Reserves Act 1977 the council has given public notice of its intention to prepare the reserve management plan which will include a comprehensive review of the Hauraki District ReserveManagement Plan 2006 and the addition of new reserves acquired since this time.

This is your opportunity to make suggestions about what you think should be considered in the reserves management plan.

Council says comments collected through this process will be considered when preparing the Draft Reserve Management Plan, which is intended to be released for public submissions at the end of this year.
