The Gold FM Rugby Report in association with Harcourts Gold Star was busy with Thames Valley rep games firstly. Thames Valley RFU’s Scott Day joined Brian Gentil with a run down of the Thames Valley Secondary School Girls, Under 16’s, Under 18’s and Emerging Players games this weekend. All the best to the local sides.

Brian and Scott talked about the Heartland Competition and in particular the Thames Valley Swampfoxes first home game. After a couple of good wins away they play Buller at Boyd Park in Te Aroha on Saturday afternoon at 2 pm, yes the earlier time is correct. Currently at the top of the table Thames Valley should go into the game as the favourites.

Scott and Brian also checked out the other games in the Heartland Competition.

The National Provincial Competition is hotting up although they are still without the three sides that are within the boundaries of Auckland and are affected by the Alert Level 3 lockdown protocols. Scott and Brian ran through the games with Waikato up against Wellington on Friday night looking to be great match up.

Brian and Scott looked at the last round of The Rugby Championship, with Scott running through a number of changes to the AB’s line-up. He mentioned Richie Mo’unga returning this week off the bench, and the changes to the wings after a few missed high balls last week.

Can the All Blacks do the Grand Slam and win all six of their games?
