The Gold FM Rugby Report with Harcourts Gold Star on Monday started with Brian Gentil and Scott Day, the Thames Valley RFU Rugby Development Officer, talking about the Thames Valley Swampfoxes great win at Boyd Park on Saturday. Scott said it was a points fest with 87 points in the 80 minutes. The Swampfoxes were victorious, winning 57 - 35. Scott ran through the game and some of many of the standout players for the Valley side. Scott and Brian also ran through all the other Heartland Competition results.

The NPC games over the weekend featured a couple of surprise results, with Hawkes Bay winning against Canterbury in Christchurch for the first time in 53 years, 45 - 26. And Taranaki beat Waikato in Tauranga 33 - 26.

Scott and Brian also talked about the All Blacks game against the USA this Sunday and the return of some players, and Ian Foster will likely give some fringe players an opportunity to get some game time before they head off to play Wales, Italy, Ireland and France.

Brian and Scott commented on the announcement that Carlos Spencer was off to the United States as assistant coach next year for the New Orleans Gold - also known as Nola Gold - in Major League Rugby’s eastern conference.
