Gold FM Fire Call Out

Posted 18 September 2018 by Gold FM in Emergency Services - Police, Fire, Civil Defence and Podcasts

Brian Gentil spoke to Chief Fire Officer Moe Stevens to find out what caused the alarm to sound last week. It's been relatively quiet for the local Fire & Rescue Service compared to a couple of months ago.

Last Wednesday, September 12 the alarm went off at 11.15 am. A motorcyclist had met a car head on and needed emergency care. The rider was airlifted to Waikato Hospital by the rescue helicopter.

At 5 pm on Friday, September 14 the Waihi Fire & Rescue Service assisted St John Waihi to airlift a patient to hospital.
