Gold FM Rugby Report with Harcourts Gold Star Real Estate

Posted 16 August 2019 by Gold FM in Sports and Podcasts

There’s some great rugby being played this weekend and Marcus Howie, the Thames Valley RFU Rugby Development Officer, gave us a good rundown when he caught up with Brian Gentil this morning.

He was reporting in from Paeroa Domain where he was setting things up for tomorrow’s Thames Valley Secondary School’s Finals. Good luck to all the schools.

Then they talked about the Premier and Championship games across the country, including Bay of Plenty hosting Waikato on Sunday at 4.35 pm.

The focus was turned to The Championship after that, especially the All Blacks Bledisloe Cup game against Australia on Saturday night at Eden Park. There’s been some interesting changes to the AB’s after the loss last week but it’s not all doom and gloom Marcus says, with Steve Hansen’s ‘steady as she goes attitude’ leading up to the World Cup in Japan, trialling different combinations to give some younger players some important game time.
