Learn about Dementia with Grey Power Waihi
Grey Power Waihi is hosting Howard Vickeridge of Dementia Waikato at a public meeting this Friday at the Waihi Baptist Church on the corner of Kenny Street.
Dementia is one of New Zealand’s most significant and growing healthcare challenges. Almost 70,000 Kiwis have dementia & that number is expected to almost triple by 2050.
Dementia also has a significant impact on the family/whanāu and friends of people with the condition. A survey conducted in 2017 indicated that 4 out of every 5 New Zealanders knows or has known someone with dementia.
Everyone is welcome to hear the informational talk about dementia this Friday morning.
Grey Power would appreciate if people could be seated in time for the address commencing at 11 am sharp.
