Sally Christie talks health across her district
Thames Coromandel District Councillor and member of the Waikato District Health Board Sally Christie spoke to Brian Gentil about what's been happening in her district.
Sally discussed the Thames Hospital 150th celebration coming up in the first week of November.
In the last twelve months, 1100 children have been referred for dental work under general anaesthetic. This type of dental care for children is preventable. Sally gave some good advice about preventing cavities andsuggested donations of toothbrushes and toothpaste are great for food banks.
Family violence can cause profound effects for everyone involved. Sally urged people to speak up and keep an eye out for members of your family and your neighbours. She also said it's important not to judge people going through difficult times.
